ANSWER: you can use HIGH velocity to print faster. If you print small texts or image I suggest you use middle. Because HIGH is mean carriage move fast too and fro.
Do I have to change /adjust some settings for that?
ANSWER: all some settings need like the middle velocity when selecting HIGI.
Do I lose quality with faster speed?
ANSWER: HIGI doesn’t lose quality. Moving too fast for too long will affect motor life
When I print multiple objects and they are separated and the print area is small (Bottles, Pens, Key-tags, etc) I DO NOT WANT THE CARRIAGE TO MOVE SLOWLY BUT TO „SKIP” – this is VERY important because save time.
ANSWER: the skip –blank only is if the image has an empty area the carriage doesn’t move, the Y motor will skip the empty area move to has a color area to start the print. I will test whether it will affect the print quality because we have used it skip blank. Before I use another the skip function the Y MOTOR move distance doesn’t correct .so I will need to test the printer use skip if it can move correct.
ANSWER: feathering is eliminating the stepping pass. The Epson 4880 old printer no feathering function so you will the UV line on the image, but the printer never no see the lines with each pass. Increased from 50 to 100 I think it is the same effect. So I usually use 50-70.
