Take the Epson I3200-A1 and 4720 for example, which correspond to different names for normal head and disassembly head respectively. The author has different views on this kind of statement and tries to explain the difference between them by means of comparison and experiment.
In general, the biggest difference between the two is the different usage scenarios.
However, the Epson I3200-A1 is superior to the original 4720 in all aspects due to the adoption of the latest technology, the addition of more control units and the technical support from Epson headquarters.
This time, we compared and measured the hardware conditions, printing effect, printing speed and performance of the two sprinkler heads on the 1800mm water-based photo machine, which were set in the same environment, the same ink and the same medium.
Different data may be obtained due to different usage scenarios of large-format printers.
In terms of the basic environment, the temperature is ideal, but the humidity is obviously a little bit lower, a good humidity should be around 60%.

As can be seen from the above table, the ignition frequency of I3200-A1 is 4.9kHZ higher than that of 4720 sprinkler head at 3 o ‘clock when the ink droplet size is the same. That is to say, i320-A1 is 29.34% higher than 4720 sprinkler head in terms of ignition frequency.
As can be seen from the above table, no matter under which mode, the speed of I3200-A1 shows a winning trend.

In terms of appearance, it is difficult for us to subdivide the difference between the two. The only difference that can be seen in the market is the security label below the data line interface as shown in figure I3200-A1, while the detuning head is a buffer foam.
To sum up, although the head and the head are both Epson’s sprinkler heads and the technical data are quite similar, there is a large gap in actual use.
The reason is that 4720, as a desktop printer, should be used in a non-continuous, narrow range, good temperature and humidity in the working environment, and relatively stable ink supplier, so 4720 shows a good use experience in this environment.
In large-format printing, the environment is completely different.
Large-format environment need to adapt to more ink, more complex environment, work longer hours and more personalized customization, so in didn’t get the technical support and cooperate with the Epson company, we will play in 4720 out of style will need to spend more time and energy, and to set the application scenario more single.
To sum up, we should consider not only the price of individual print heads, but also the cost of implementing these scenarios when selecting print heads.
For I3200 – A1, with Epson the department of technical support and open data, both waveform, reference test system, and voltage can be adjusted, and soon have more advantages, so will greatly save equipment development cycle and cost, the equipment is relatively developed, its environmental adaptability, speed, accuracy, quality and stability will be better.
